Zephyra is a very diverse musical classical duo founded by soprano Sabra el Bahri Khatri and guitarist Johan Timmermans. Our cooperation started during our studies, where we discovered the similarities in our musical ideas, interests and tastes. Both classically trained, and both interested and skilled in various non-Western styles.
Our repertoire offers a great diversity of musical styles, time periods, origins and languages. Music is presented to the audience that ranges from classical compositions from France, Spain, Italy and Greece to classical and popular songs from Turkey, North Africa and the Middle East.
All our pieces also carry a story and a piece of history to enhance the musical experience they offer. We will always provide a diverse, interesting, intimate and profound performance that will stay with and inspire you for a long time!

Aan een tafel van circa twintig mensen nam Johan op natuurlijke wijze plaats. Hij voelde vanaf het begin de sfeer van het feest uitstekend aan en wist met zijn muzikale keuze, maar ook zijn ingetogen, uitermate muzikale spel het feest extra kleur te geven. Heel veel dank!
