This band knows each other from when they were all together at the conservatory. You get a resounding performance from real jazz veterans with years of experience.
Jazz guitarist Osman Arif from Indonesia and his regular singer Sylvia van Santen like to be surrounded by Jazz musicians who play Jazz from the highest shelf.
They play authentic jazz standards and they know each other from the conservatory where they all studied. The band consists of:

Jazz guitarist Osman Arif from Indonesia and his regular singer Sylvia van Santen
like to be surrounded by Jazz musicians who play Jazz from the highest shelf. Recently they released a CD with Hans Mantel on double bass, Joost Kesselaar on drums and Stevens Hupkens on piano, all musicians known to Dutch conservatories.
Osman Arif studied with Wim Overgaauw at the Hilversum Conservatoire and
at the Schumann Academy in Zwolle. He also studied Choir Conducting with Karel Kok Schagen. On a regular basis he performs with Jazz musicians trained at the conservatory: Hans Mantel, Joost Kesselaar, Nick van de Bos, Steven Hupkens, Rico de Jeer, Tom Kwakernaat and many others.
Sylvia van Santen studied with Tom de Graaf singing pedagogue from Schagen. She also studied with Zangpedagoge Maria Rondel partly at the Conservatory of Alkmaar and partly through private lessons at her home. Sylvia also had lessons with jazz singer Deborah J. Carter from America. Furthermore she qualified as a pianist at the conservatory level with Osman Arif and since 2003 she has her own Jazz quintet together with Osman Arif. From 1991 Sylvia van Santen was part of the show orchestra "De Ricardo's " from Zaandam. Known from Radio Utrecht and regional TV. At this moment she has her own Jazz Quintet together with Osman Arif.
