Behind The Beat Performance: fun as a kickoff of a musical culture day. Behind The Beat is an educational and above all fun school performance about the rise of 'the beat' in modern pop music. This beat is the rhythm that characterizes the music and is usually played by the drummer. In contemporary pop culture, the beat has gained an increasingly dominant role. More and more often this beat is also made electronically. Young people nowadays speak of 'thick beats' rather than 'beautiful music'.

During this music performance we will look for where those beats come from and how they are made. Three 'masters of the beat' (drummer Max, DJ Tobi and beatboxer, producer and presenter Patrick) take the audience of this CKV performance on a journey through time. From soul to house and from rock'n roll to hip-hop, all post-war pop music is covered. A unique viewing and listening experience in the world of the beat!

The regular duration of this music performance is 40 minutes. We like to think along with you so this CKV performance can also be shortened (with a minimum of 30 minutes) or extended to a maximum of 50 minutes. This performance more often on one day to different groups? Of course this is also possible and very advantageous. For a second musical performance on the same day, at the same location, a discount of 50% applies and for a third even 75%.
