A shot in the arm

Tijl very enthusiastically provided 3 performances for our school that challenged both preschoolers and upper school in a musical way. The children's reactions showed us that it was a blast for all ages!!!

Only positive!

Tijl did a whole morning of performances at our elementary school. All coronaproof, 30min performance per class from his bus. Tijl tuned the content of each show very well to his audience. It was a great success! The kids really enjoyed his interactive, swinging program! Tijl got all the kids dancing. A day full of joy in these crazy times. Highly recommended! The contact beforehand with Tijl was also very smooth. Nothing but positive reactions!

We're fans!

Tijl managed to get over 100 children and their teachers to sing and move for almost an hour. The children were very enthusiastic and the teachers immediately went to see what other shows Tijl has to offer. We are fans!

It was a party

We're all in the Sinterklaas mood. Tijl has treated our students to cheerful, swinging songs. Tijl looks at the group of children and adapts his performance to that (a la minute). Our pupils have sung, clapped and danced! There was a lot of interaction, the pupils (group 1 to 8) were enthusiastic and the performance ended in a cheerful polonaise! It was a party.

Tijl gave two performances in the week before Christmas at the Mayor de Wildeschool in Schagen. Instead of sitting still, being quiet and watching, it was a big musical feast in which all children were involved. With movement and singing along, everyone was involved and even the teachers were enthusiastically singing along. So.... highly recommended for junior to senior school!

We are fans

In Gelselaar Tijl played a combination of "Maestro, music" and "a royal orchestra". In collaboration with harmony orchestra "Excelsior" Gelselaar. The performance took place in a marquee for the children's morning during the annual summer festival. And a party... that was it! The show really appealed to all children, from the junior to the upper classes. Tijl's inimitable timing, enthusiasm and professionalism ensured that all the children, but also the adults, had their attention from the second onwards and couldn't let go of it. To give just one example, Tijl didn't speak a word for the first fifteen minutes and yet everyone hung on his lips! Brilliant! The collaboration with the orchestra went really well. Very nice was the relaxed contact and communication before the show. Which ensured that the programme went well, even without rehearsing with each other. In short; highly recommended! Especially for orchestras that are looking for a way to get young people enthusiastic about making music. And actually just for everyone who wants to be entertained by a super enthusiastic, driven, professional, musical theatre maker. We are fans!

As an association we would like to pass on this music to our youth. Tijl has completely succeeded in this. Not only the children but also we enjoyed the joy and enthusiasm.

Everyone left the room singing

What a party! In his own unique way, Tijl was given the whole hall; dancing, singing, no one could stay seated during Tijl's catchy sing-alongs. His own repertoire mixed with Christmas classics. Everyone left the hall singing.... Jingle Bells!

A true musical party!

This time we had chosen for the mini-Sintshow, so Tijl in our own group. No less than 5 shows in one morning for children aged 2.5 to 8 years old. Without exception, the children were very enthusiastic and so were the teachers! Tijl brought a large box full of instruments and with his musicality he was able to fit in well with the needs of the group. Especially the accordion brought a lot of ohhh's. The children enjoyed the sounds. A true musical party, within the intimacy of their own (safe) group, where everyone sang along, danced along, and also learned something about the instruments.

Respect

What have the little (but also the big!!!) Snoopy's enjoyed Tijl. We found it exciting beforehand how Tijl all alone could fascinate such a large group of children, but really no problem! Everybody participated!

Well, that really turned out to be one BIG party

Our kindergarten trip started with the performance 'Alle dagen feest'. With 6 kindergarten groups in the gym. The children were allowed to sing along, dance along, move along, make music, dress up and act. Fantastic what an energy Tijl radiates and what an imagination he has. You don't get the chance to dream away or sit still, because he knows how to captivate the children and the other audience throughout the performance. Highly recommended for a toddler party or if there is something else to celebrate at school.

Gets all children moving

Tijl started to play and the children looked at him full of expectation. Normally they are never that quiet in the group. ;) What we were very enthusiastic about as pedagogical employees is the interaction Tijl has with the children. He connects to what he sees as what the children like and he gets all the children - even the tough older boys who didn't think it was 'cool' to participate at first - moving. His songs are swinging and lyrically in keeping with the children's perceptions. Some younger children thought the sound was a bit loud at first, but with the safety of the regular leader in the neighbourhood that went well too

Jokes, music, move, wonder Super!

As an afternoon program for our kindergarten trip we were looking for a suitable performance (something with technology, science). We soon came up with 'wat een weertje' , which was exactly right. A nice, interesting performance that let the toddlers enjoy songs from start to finish, educational things about the weather, jokes, music, movement, amazement. Super!

Very much enjoyed this special musical performance

It was an incredibly fun, educational, interactive performance for the children from group 1 to 8 on the occasion of the opening of the music project at the Wis en Wierig school. Most of the children were very curious about the sounds of the different instruments that were already there, they were quite impressed when it turned out that they played everything. Short information about the origin and genesis of some special instruments was interesting. They listened to each other, sang and danced with each other, measure, rhythm, movement, everything was discussed. That you can also make music without instruments but with your own body the children showed and heard in an excellent way. The joint closing was super fun! With buckets, bottles, balloons all together making music and then during the "Sing and Swirl Song" in polonaise back to their own class!

a magical Christmas performance!

It was wonderful to see how Tijl responded to the level of our students. He looks, adapts his actions and builds a party. Every child could be himself and this created a magical Christmas performance!

Tijl's Christmas performance gave our children and teacher (who retired) an unforgettable morning. The Christmas performance is also very suitable for children from all over the world. The performance is interactive. All children participate! We enjoyed it!

Successfully

The children of primary school St. Antonius in Best celebrated a beautiful Christmas with Tijl Damen. The active participation of the pupils was central and they did a great job! The performances were an atmospheric closing of the calendar year 2017.

For the second year we had the mini sint show at school. A short but very talkative show for the students. They were allowed to sing and move along with the songs that made a big impression.

Great how everything is done and played by one person!

We really enjoyed 2 shows for children from group 1-2. Good independent care of stage, light and sound. A lot of variation through different instruments, interaction, movement, dance and stage. Children were regularly involved by moving, shouting, making sounds or participating with an instrument. Great!

Friday before the Christmas holidays Tijl performed at our school. First for the groups 3-4-5 (heard a lot of enthusiastic stories). Then group 6-7-8. Go on. One day before the holidays, 180 students! What a super show! Very interactive and the children were very enthusiastic. Instead of sitting still they all participated

The children thought the show was magical!

We had to make a painting visible by eating different colours of fruit and vegetables and then rubbing it over canvas with a brush. This way we finally got to see the whole painting. All this was combined with a lot of music, songs and dances. The children watched this performance with great enthusiasm.

A very nice performance in which the children could participate a lot.

How we liked it!

A nice story was told by a man who had received a painting from his uncle. But there was nothing on the painting at all. A number of children were allowed to eat things in a certain colour and when they went over the white painting with a brush, the colour they had eaten would appear. That was very special. There was also a lot of singing and dancing in between.

As if the natural playground had turned into a fairytale forest

Tijl Damen gave a very successful interactive performance at nature playground De Boomhut in Terneuzen on the Day of the Nature Playground on 10 September. With the help of guitar, drum kit and djembe he managed to drag the children into a story in which, among other things, the elements of nature got a role. When it turned out that it was the birthday of one of the children that day, Tijl very skilfully managed to involve the parents of the birthday boy. For a moment it seemed as if the natural playground had been transformed into a fairytale forest, with the children running around the pond with musical instruments after the "king". Tijl knew how to make optimal use of the possibilities of our terrain. The performance was musical, sporty, educational and fun at the same time. The adults also enjoyed the performance to the fullest.

Tijl Damen really makes a party of it, a big one!

After his performance at our 5-year anniversary we invited Tijl again for the party night of our 10th anniversary. What a party! The kids were totally captivated by Tijl's performance. Enjoy for the kids, but also for us!

Positive contribution

At scouting Panta Rhei, Tijl performed the performance "every day party". This on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of our group. And a party it was. The children, the leaders and the parents enjoyed it very much and Tijl was able to captivate all those present and to take them into the show by means of several songs and sketches. In the end (almost) everyone was on the floor to participate. Tijl thanks for this nice performance. It has made a positive contribution to the celebration of our 60th anniversary.

Because of the 15th anniversary of our childcare NulVier, we had organized a party during which Tijl Damen gave 4 performances. Two performances for the BSO children, one for all toddlers and one for the baby group. Tijl is very active and his shows are really very INTERACTIVE, so the children (and parents) are and remain very involved and all have a lot of fun. Great shows for all ages with a lot of variation in singing with a nice interaction. He also has a nice build up of his own stage appearance

Definitely worth repeating!

Thanks to Tijl we had a super nice gig at our neighbourhood school Bubao De Wissel in Puurs (Belgium). The children and the teachers were all enthusiastic. Tijl really had everyone along. Super nice to see all those happy faces!

Tijl gave a fantastic interactive performance for KindeX in advance. With a group of about 100 children (2-5 years) and ditto parents, Tijl made it a real party. A very cozy, funny and musical start of our summer holiday. Even now, after the holidays, we still get positive reactions to this performance

The golden jubilee party of our walking club DVG, consisting of 46 members with a mental disability and 12 volunteers, was a great success. The highlight of this day was the performance of Tijl! The members were fully involved in the performance of Tijl: making music together, playing king with 2 servants, riding on a hobbyhorse, etc. What a pleasure they all enjoyed! Each in his own way. A great performance for our target group. Their reactions: I liked it very much. It was fun! Was beautiful! When is that gentleman coming again? And so..

On the occasion of the fact that our school has become a Kanjerschool, Tijl gave two performances. I attended the performance of the groups 4 to 8. This was a very varied performance, in which the majority had fun and participated.
